The New Horizons – Hilltonia Charge (Two Churches for all God’s Children)
The New Horizons and Hilltonia United Methodist Churches welcomes all God’s children to worship and full participation in the life and membership of the church, without regard to race, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental handicap, economic status or any other life situation that we fail to recognize.
We believe God’s love and grace is sufficient for us all, and embrace the rich diversity of gifts and persons who live in our neighborhood.
We seek to live out the slogan of the United Methodist Church by offering:
“Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors.”
Both Hilltonia and New Horizons are part of the Reconciling Network of the United Methodist church dedicated to full inclusion of GLBT persons into the life of the United Methodist Church. You can read more about this movement at www.rmnetwork.org

reading this makes me feel comfortable in coming to new horizons to recieve gods love even though i am rebuilding my life with christ first and recovery program of N/A which is offered by new horizons in the church basement on sundays sense i have fellowshiped with new horizons god has truely worked out a lot things for me i do beleive if the church as a whole would not have opened the doors to me with unconditional love even though i am gay living alternative lifestyle not to mention being a recovering addict not being scared to receive gods love i am glad new horizons welcomed me with love to become a member of the church and even get saved in the church if i was fixed god would have nothing to fix my life is so much better now living with christ my houseing is not in jeopardy any more my social security is pendinng i am clean and sober now thanks be to god praise be to god SENSEERA M POTTER

Thank you for your positive posting. I believe that “alternate lifestyles” are not so much a choice as a gift of God. We accept that all people who enter our churches were made by our creator unique and gifted, and we strive to accept each one just the way they are.
